Colophon
Hello. My name is John Bowersox, and welcome to my weblog.
I am 30-something and live in northwestern New Jersey. I am quite happily married (to a woman who is much better looking than I am) as well as a proud father of two.
I am a Christian and worship at the Evangelical Free Church of Blairstown.
I have the privilege of working as a full time associate for Mars Information Services as a Senior Infrastructure Support Analyst (which is a fancy way of saying that I architect web hosting solutions).
In the little free time that I have, I am working on my photography skills and enjoy just about anything to do with the outdoors.
My Home on the Web
The Tumbling Sox Network is my home on the Internet. I publish this weblog using the latest version of the free WordPress MU content management system. Here I post just about anything from technology interests to life events, and more.
My Inner Geek
In case you hadn’t already noticed, my main area of interest lies in technology, particularly in the world wide web. I have also recently become what some would call an Apple FanBoy. While I will admit I have become a little obsessed with Apple‘s products, in my defense you have to admit that no other company makes computing so easy.
The following is a list of my and the family’s tech toys:
Personal Laptop – Apple MacBook 13.3″ / 2.0Ghz Core Duo / 2GB RAM / 250GB HD
Work Laptop – Dell Latitude D630 14.1″ / 1.8Ghz Core 2 Duo / 4GB RAM / 320GB HD
Family PC – HP Pavilion a345w / 2.0Ghz / 1GB RAM / 80GB HD
File & Print Server – QNAP TS-409 Pro / 500Mhz / 256MB RAM / 2TB HD
My Photographic Hobby
I became involved in photography right before the birth of my son, quickly purchasing a DSLR to capture family moments as well as expand my creative abilities, the Nikon D50.
Camera Bodies
Nikon D50
Nikon Coolpix S51
Lenses
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 – 55mm f/3.5 – 5.6G ED
Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED
Disclaimer: As stated above I’m an associate of Mars Information Services, but let me take a moment to assure anyone reading this blog that my thoughts are, in fact, my own and do not represent Mars Information Services’ (and/or any of my previous employers) positions, strategies or opinions.
